| Okay Brant, count me in as a probable. Don't worry about the raven, if I make it I'll give it another go on the SB8's. I've gotten a little more saddle time in since our last "soupy" glendale ride. That's gotta count for something. I'll keep an eye on the posts to see if things are postponed till Sunday. |

| Thats it, a Trek hardtail sixtyniner. But no spd's. |
|
|
| Only the double track will be sloppy. By changing the ride up we can avoid most of the double track. If we have to we can ride over to Dixon Springs, do that loop over there, then try out the double track across the Rock Road. |

forgot to ask.

18psi, damn I need to stop eating so much. I need to run a little more pressure than that. I don't have one of those fancy 29ers though.
no, you just have a fancy 26er!

i don't believe eli is running spd's...are you sure that's his bike?

Lol. The raven will be great, as long as you avoid all of the rocks. Didn't you cut one of them on the first ride at kinkaid brant?
yep i did. i was running them at 18 psi. that's what i was running on my kenda karmas also last year when i tore a sidewall on a rock during a race.
i've started running my tires at 20 psi because i also noticed i was hitting rim when going through the rock gardens. hope this solves my problems.
otherwise, i have tire (not tube) patches, tube and pump with me!

Kenda Small Block 8's.
glendale will hopefully drain well since it's been so dry.
as for the sb8's...you should be fine.
but i have an extra raven you can put in the back of the bike when you get to the trail head. 5 minute fix.
so we'll see you in the morning.

The SB8s will be fine. I rode a SB8 rear all year last year. With the consistancy of the mud/clay on SoIl, it really get along well with any tires. I've found big tread and small tread all perform similar for me. Others may have different opinions, but that's my .02$ |

| I'd join you guy's, but with the recent rain I'll probably have to pass until I replace the SB8's I'm riding. |

| Fist of God is across rock road after the waterfall but before the dead end. It's on the trail but back in a little box canyon. If you see it you will recognize it. I have a picture of it on my facebook. |

| If I'm able to make the ride, I will pack the gps to track the ride and flag any landmarks. |
|
|
Unless something changes, I'll be putting a roof on my parents' garage Saturday and riding Sunday.
Could someone flag or explain how to find the Fist of God part? |

| I saw that "old single speed" in action tonight. You're right, Gudger, it's a sucker play. |
|
|
I just have an old single speed so I'm not sure about the time it will take.
I can spot a sucker play when I see one... I'll try to keep up!

| That looks pretty cool. I'm out of town this coming weekend and won't be back until Saturday night the 18th. I'll run that with you when I get back maybe even on Sunday the 19th if you have time. I just have an old single speed so I'm not sure about the time it will take. |

Eli, good to see you and Joe up in our neck of the woods. Good looking bike you're sporting these days. Too bad we didn't ride together, it was a good ride with the added bonus of seeing a rattlesnake at my feet.

I'll volunteer for a Git'cher Fill run on Saturday that circles the bluffs and rolls across the highway to the fist of god side for a quick out-and-back.
Intermediate skill level, and high fitness for recreational riders (moderate for racers), finishing in about 1.5 hours. Can be run a second time with breaks that will add about 30min to an hour (or the first time if no takers), could also be stretched out to something more epic!
Had fun with it tonight, it's my current favorite ride.
