Had a killer ride at the gym tonight!

The local gym we went to had two Expresso interactive bikes (expresso.net). They have a video screen and interactive steering, you can choose from a bunch of courses, and the resistance changes to match the terrain. The graph along the bottom of the screen has power, cadence, HR, terrain, and averages. Your account follows you to any bike around the world, and you can log on to the website to track your rides.

I really regret not bringing my riding shoes, but I think I did alright with an average power output of 240 watts over 15 miles. First time I've had any kind of power measurement, and I have no idea what's good, but I was pumping sweat and felt great after. Awesome ride, I gots to git me one o these!!!!!

Yeah whatever! I love the open air, too, but neither the Trek nor the Schwinn fit in my carry-on. This thing is as cool as a christmas pony, and since riding inside is a fact if I want to have any fun outside, I want want want one.

BTW- I'll be in Denver next week.

Ahhh, I recall having this conversation with Brendan and Wax about 7 years ago while riding at Moab or Fruita or soemthing. We though, it would be cool to get a bunch of the good rides on the helmet cam while following someone and then link it up to a stationary bike and program the resistance etc to match the terrain. Obviously someone already did it. Dang, probably made a mint.

No time to ride this trip, but I'll probably be at Streets for a beer.

I'll keep those bikes in mind for June, though
