Hi-yo!!

I'm getting excited about the race season and don't want to flood the events section with every flier.

Can we use the calendar to post events that are coming up and maybe gather participant list?

Don't want to cause extra work, though. What's the recommended practice?

Hmmm good question...if we want to use the calendar at the top, I'll start filling in the dates that I know of...

I can't post to it, or am I just missing something?

You can, it's just in a weird spot.  After clicking on the Calendar button, look at the lower right side of the page.  You'll see a "manage calendar" option.  If you click on this, you can add an event.

Post away.

Halfway to Huzzah.

I found the hotlinks, but it's a personal event and said only visible to me.

I added the BoneBender 3/6hr for April 18.

OK, it should work now.  Pick guests, or all members on the page where you enter the event information.  Also, you need to pick recurring or select a start time and end time, or else it won't show in the calendar for some reason.  It must be a bug in the software.

Where is the Bone Bender? A 3 or 6 hour race in April sounds like fun to me.

It's just north of Kansas City in Smithville, MO. I'm trying to fill the calendar to make sure some things are left when work starts eating my weekends.

Saturday drive up, race Sunday, drive home if it's a team return trip, otherwise I'll probably cruise home casually on Monday. I might be able to arrange indoor accommodations.

The Tour de Tick is on the Midwest Fat Tire Championship Series for April 25th, but I thought it was a road ride... and a tour not a race??

Still not seeing them on the calendar, Sean.

Yours came up on the 20th for calendar posting, but Pat entered several and I put in the Mid West Fat Tire Championship Series, none of which display on the calendar view for me.

I see them in the 'manage events' view, but not on the month at a glance view.

No hurry, of course, and thanks for the help. If it's a tricky glitch, I'll just gather a list.

The Bone Bender looks and sounds like fun, however I'm not that interested in traveling all the way to Kansas City for it. Somewhere like Nashville or Evansville would be a little more fitting. And sooner or later it will be scheduled.

Hey guys, for some reason you MUST enter a start date/time AND an end date/time, or select recurring event (which is probably not the best option, since the dates aren't likely to repeat).

If you go into calendar events, and click on the modify button next to the posts, you can add the "end date", then it will show up.  I did this with a couple of Pat's posts.  It changed the owner to me from Pat, since I was the last to modify it.  Guder, could you go in and fix your additions?

If any of you guys that are "devoted" SMBA members, i.e. Moe, Pat, Guder, Don, etc, and want to get access to the "news" section on the homepage, send me an email and I'll give you the website and the login info.   This would also be a good section to share news, events, and the like.

You da MAN!!!! GREAT SUCCESS!!

I've got the Midwest Fat Tire Championship Series up, and I'll toss up the United Federation of Dirt Eastern series.

Anything more local already planned?

(Edited because I'm a moron. Moved back from CO in 2002, and I still assume I'm West).
